States and Nations in the contemporary age: the American Revolution to Globalization
The course of contemporary history is intended to retrace the most important of the international history of nineteenth and twentieth centuries, investigating the issues of deeper and more interest in historiography, with particular reference to international politics, the major economic and financial processes and transformations of contemporary societies. The most important steps the program of Contemporary History will be the big political and industrial revolutions, the construction of nation-states of the nineteenth century, imperialism and colonialism, world wars, decolonization and the Cold War, the events of the last two decades crucial post-Cold War .

During the course will be recommended reading other books for further study of the topics covered.
Students who attend at least 50 percent of the lectures will hold a written examination during the course of 5 of the 9 modules of the course.
